What we are all about

Living on the Edge is the field study of earthquakes, volcanoes, and other hazards where tectonic plates collide. Field studies focus on understanding the science behind natural hazards that lead to catastrophic events and subsequent loss of life. Fieldwork is aimed at recognizing hazards and understanding the processes behind the hazards. The blog chronicles the participants and their experiences in Alaska Summer 2009

  2. Well it certainly sounds like you all are having a great time and learning alot! It also sounds like Tyler I. is up to his usual antics -- way to go buddy! Did anyone notice the sign on the pipeline that says "Please do not climb on the pipeline"? Have a great time -- two weeks left!

    Love,
    Mom, Dad and TJ

  3. Keeping informed of your discoveries via this blog is awesome! We feel like we're there with you - but we smell much better. By now, you all smell much better too. The entries you all write are amazing to someone who knows zero about what you're learning. It wets the appetite; can't wait for your next entries. Continue to enjoy your time in Alaska. We do hope you see a bear - from a safe distance. Enjoy!!!
